Misty I. Gamino
Misty Gamino received her Juris Doctorate from Chicago-Kent College of Law. She received a Bachelor of Arts from the esteemed Northwestern University. Ms. Gamino is licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois. Ms. Gamino is a zealous advocate and proponent for the rights of fathers and children.
While in law school, she actively participated in Kent's Child and Family Law Society. She also interned at the Law Offices of Jeffery M. Leving, Ltd. where she was instrumental in successfully protecting the rights of fathers in complex contested custody, visitation and child support cases prior to becoming an associate.
As a result of her work, she is a keenly aware of the devastating affects parental alienation can have on families and how defamatory statements — including false allegations of abuse — can interfere with parent/child relationships and lead to inequitable custody arrangements.
Prior to joining the Law Offices of Jeffery M. Leving, Ltd., Ms. Gamino provided invaluable support in numerous child custody matters where the future of children hung in the balance. Dedicated to protecting at-risk children, she assisted a Guardian ad Litem/Child Representative in successfully representing the best interests of children in many complex cases.
Ms. Gamino also interned at the Chicago-Kent Law Offices Immigration Clinic, contributing to the representation of clients in immigration court, particularly in family-based immigration petitions.
