The firm's attorneys, Maureen Gorman and Scott Shell, recently persuaded a Cook County Judge to vacate a $65,000.00 child support arrearage that was incorrectly ordered against our client prior to retaining us.
Over ten years ago, the mother duped our client into signing a Voluntary Acknowledgment of Paternity for another man's child, resulting in the huge flawed child support arrearage, the loss of our client's driver's license and his ability to work as a taxi driver. Further, he was stripped of his passport and unable to visit his home country of Nigeria.
Through attorney Gorman and Shell's tenacious courtroom skills, our client no longer owes a fortune, can get his driver's license back to resume being a taxi driver, and can now obtain his passport to mourn with his family back home where his mother recently passed away. Most importantly, he does not have to worry about being thrown into jail.
